Tempered Builds is a homeowner tool for finding the right Los Angeles roofing contractor. We research and vet licensed roofing professionals in your area so you don't have to. When you submit a request, a licensed, insured contractor will contact you directly to provide your quote and handle all project paperwork.

How it works

1. You tell us what you need. Metal roof, gutters, or gutter guards. Your LA ZIP. A bit about your home and timeline.
2. We connect you with a pre-screened licensed contractor in our network who serves your area.
3. The contractor calls you within 2 hours to schedule a free in-person estimate.
4. You contract directly with the licensed contractor. All quotes, contracts, payments, and warranties are between you and them. Tempered Builds never touches your project money or your contract.

What we vet for

• Active California CSLB license (C-39 Roofing or C-43 Sheet Metal) — verified on cslb.ca.gov.
• General liability insurance + workers compensation coverage.
• Documented LA-area project history.
• Familiarity with LA-specific code — Chapter 7A, Title 24 cool-roof, VHFHSZ requirements.
• Transparent pricing with line-item written quotes (no one-page surprises).

What we don't do

• We don't install or perform roofing work. The licensed contractor we connect you with does.

Why we focus on LA only

Roofing decisions in LA are different. Title 24 cool-roof rules, Chapter 7A fire-zone compliance, the California FAIR Plan insurance landscape, HOA architectural review committees — these are all things national matching services don't understand.
